Interview on veteran’s day?

I’m worried because I recently signed up for an interview on veteran’s day. What are the chances that this date was offered as a mistake and will be postponed? Isn’t veteran’s day a federal holiday? I’m very interested in this school and would like to interview before Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays.

Not everyone takes off on a Federal holiday.

It is a federal holiday but many universities don’t observe federal holidays other than the big ones: New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
