Hey I have an interview coming up and it's going to be the first interview I have ever done in my life that is actually meaningful.(I.e not for practice). Therefore I have a few quick questions, I did a practice interview yesterday and I was told that I felt passionate, and caring and answered questions pretty well but that my hands kept moving.

So essentially when I speak, I am very expressive and always move my hands. Is this a problem for an interview? Should I not move my hands as much? Like try to keep them still?

Edit: Also are there any obvious tips I should have when going into an interview?

I have the same problem. I find that focusing so much on these little things just takes away from what I am trying to say and makes me more nervous and self conscious when people are critical on these issues. I have never interviewed people, but I personally think it's less important than what you are saying. In the military, when we went to the boards, we kept our hands firmly place on our thighs and sat pretty stiff. I found all of this to make my answers worse and it felt unnatural. I would also like to hear people's perspective.
Try to be yourself and talk like someone that could talk to patients some day and not give the profession a bad name. I always hear horror stories from people who say their doctor humiliated them or made them feel terrible. I guess tactfulness is what I would value as an interviewer more than, whether they used their hands too much.

That is my perspective as a nervous interviewer. I have heard some people say putting something in their hand to squeeze helps. I never tried it.
