Hey guys,
I have an interview tommrow, and one of the questions for the interview is,
if you find cure for cancer, and you only have 100 doses for it, how would you give it to and why?
I just need suggestions from you guys, like what would be a good answer !!!!
Thanks in advance ...

rank the women(patients) based on hittability.

ha..jk

id probably suggest a lottery. itd be unfair for me who choose who gets the vaccine...everyone deserves an equal chance to receive a cure..bla bla bla bla

I would sell them to the highest bidders. The only restriction is one per customer and they would have to actually have cancer, it wouldn't be right if someone bought it just in case they got cancer, not just because it's a deplorable thought, but because each of the 100 tubes would be like a clinical test; I want to make sure it worked and would want data on it. I would then use the money to further my research and perhaps be able to produce the cure in higher quantity or discover another cure.

That's probably not the "right" answer or what they want to hear... but it's the first thing that came to mind, so that's probably what I'd say. Iono.

Inform the drug companies I have found a cure for cancer. Then, I would retire after the drug companies pay me to hide my findings.

This is a ethical question, similar to the "space ship question".
easy...you give it to the 100 sickest and most at risk patients. Your duty as a pharmacist is to help the sick, the elderly, and the poor, regardless of socio-economic status. Hopefully, after you give out those 100 doses, you will be able to synthesize more.

I'm guessing that part of it tells you that it will take a long time to mass produce this cure.

Personally, I would give the vaccines to the youngest cancer patients, meaning younger than 25. I would not charge money for it. If you're gonna save lives, save the lives with the most potential.

Think of it like in sports, let's say that the team's budget only allows for one surgery a year, and 2 players get injured, Jose Reyes (phenomenal potential and 23 years old) and Carlos Delgado (great player in his time, on the decline already, 36 years old), I would give the surgery to Jose Reyes.

The problem with the original question is that there is no "part of it tells you that it will take a long time to mass produce this cure". Most ethical questions are vague and left open ended. You don't want to assume "what if's". You want to answer the question as concise and brief as you can with only the information they present to you. The last thing you want to do with this question is to open a new can of worms.

Just remember the most logical answer is not always the most ethical.

The best thing would be to give it to really young patients who havnt lived their lives. I would first look at the ppl close to me who are affected and look at the options there then take 80% of the med and do a random lottery drawing for young patients only. then the remaining will be sold at a very high price where 100% of the profit will go to research of the cure and to orphanages 😀. honestly that 20% would prob. go to me 🙂 lol to help my family and stuff but i wont say that portion bc that might seem iffy.
