I had a March interview at Tufts last year. Tufts march interviews are usually for waitlist spots because the class gets filled in February

I improved my application in terms of GPA, doubled my shadowing hours, got my bachelors, and added one more year of research. Do you guys have an idea if Tufts usually reinvite applicants who have been interviewed in a previous cycle?

Sounds like nobody have been in this situation before!

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the waitlist only lasts for one year's cycle. I think you won't be given any preference for having been waitlisted, but you should be considered more heavily if your application has significantly improved.

For anyone to tell you the likeliness of you getting invited, they'd at least need to know your stats like GPA, DAT, EC's, etc.

Yes, waitlist is only for one year

My question is that do schools usually invite students for two consecutive years?

I was curious about this as well. I can't speak about Tufts specifically, but I called a school and in a roundabout way asked them this and they basically told me that they compare your app last cycle to this cycle. What did you change/improve upon and has it been enough to show you're fully committed to making this happen? The way they explained it was that now you're not only competing with the rest of the applicant pool, but also your 'old' self. If they think you've shown enough improvement, you'll receive an invite.

Just passing on what I've heard. Good luck :luck:
