Is it proper to call and ask for the Dean of Admissions to see what my application status is a month and a half after an interview with no word? I don't know what to do. Please give guidance.

trust me, if a month and a half is all you have to wait post-interview, you've got it pretty good. although, i don't see the harm in shooting them a quick email.

thats nothing
rosalind franklin;interviewed oct 3, decision-yet to hear from them. time to call i think🙄

i'd say that it depends on what school this is. Several schools get back to you roughly within a couple weeks-a month. Some take several months. In short, call the office and ask about how long it generally takes to hear a decision--if it is less than the time you've waited, explain your specific case and (maybe) asked to speak to a dean of admissions, or a supervisor.

gluck!

also search SDN for average response times!

I think you should call. I am in a similar situation. Was told by SLU that I would hear back within 4-6 weeks, and it has been almost 9 weeks. When I called, I was told that I would be going under review this week.

Good Luck!

I emailed (but only those who knew me on a face to face basis - so unless I met the Dean, shook hands, I wouldn't call) ... every week starting a week and half after my interview. With so many applicants I wanted to make sure they remembered me. I emailed everyone that I met who I got an email address for. And why not? They are all in and out of the admissions office all day... might as well get them talking about you. Hopefully it becomes a positive for you 👍

May I ask what exactly did you say in those emails every week? Also, has it worked positively for you?
