Okay so I am going in for an interview for a hospice position at one of the hospitals in the area. What kind of questions can I expect? Any insight would be helpful because I do not want to go in with no idea of what I am going to be asked.

It's real relaxed. Pretty much, they will ask you whether you're in college or in high school? What major are you? etc. Then, they'll teach you some hospital codes and some dress codes. That sums up my volunteer interview.

Thats it? Really? This pleases me. I was expecting some hard questions to which I really have not formulated any adequate answers.

mine was pretty much what was stated above-

they also asked me why i decided on that hospital. it wasn't bad at all- I love the volunteer coordinators at the hospital that I volunteer at!

Not to be difficult or anything, But I was applying for a position in Emergency triage, in a hospital with a rigorous volunteer program. The interview was over 45 minutes long and she asked me questions such as "what is your greatest weakness/strength" etc. I think prior to the interview she was not so hot on my application (no prior hospital exp), but based on my interview she was glad to give me the position.

I guess what I'm trying to say is just be prepared for everything you do, make a good first impression, and eye CONTACT always. even for the ho hum volunteer interviews.

Interview for volunteer positions are very relaxed. They may ask if you're willing to make a committment & if it might bother you to see sick people..to which you would reply yes, and no😀
