UNECOM! I am so jealous! I'd *love* to interview there!
But, I gotta say, I'm happy to be interviewing *anywhere*! Last year I interviewed at only one place, so I'm damn happy this time around.

Hey everybody!!
I just got an interview to TUCOM!!! I am so excited, this is really close to my family so I won't have to worry about where I will live, and I will have all the support I can get!!!! I hope I get in here!!! I am really shocked considering I just called them on tuesday and they told me that they had mislpaced my DO letter. They promised me that they would review my app on wednesday the 18th, and BAM, I recieve the invite on Friday the twentieth, that was fast!! Well congrats to everyone, and good luck!!!!1

That's awesome! Congrats! I'll be there 10/28! If you haven't already, go to my site and download all the comments on TUCOM from the defunct interviewfeedback.com site. I saved them from last year:

Cool! I will be seeing you there!🙂
Anyone else going to NOVA on OCtober 4th? Found a book at Barnes and Noble in the medicine section..it's called DO's in AMerica and covers the entire DO history. It was published in 1982, but might be a good source of conversation during interviews...like how do you think osteopathic philosophy/education has changed since this book was puiblished. Good luck everyone!

The two books everyone seems to mention are: _The DO's: Ostepathic Medicine in America_ by Gevitz, and _Osteopathic Medicine: A Reformation on Progress_, by Gallagher and Humphrey. I have both, and the Gevitz book has more history, while the Gallagher book is looking at the present and towards the future.

for those of you who have AZCOM coming up, I just finished my interview last week. We were the first group so everyone was nervous. but they were all nice. It really depending on who you got as your interviewers, mine were easy on me and it was fine. you can check out my interview on the interview feedback section of sdn. some people were asked a lot of hypothetical questions, but I wasn't asked any.
Hey all!
I got my first interview! Nova on the 30th (they didn't give me much notice). Did anyone else who got an interview find Nova's their demand for a signed dress code and attendance code form a bit excessive?
Also, for those of you who heard from PCOM, did they send an email or snailmail?
And has anyone heard from NYCOM or Pikesville?

For those interviewing at NOVA tomorrow: GOOD LUCK!!! I know you're gonna love the facilities and South Florida. WATCH OUT FOR FERN!!! She's kinda crazy, but it adds to the Florida atmosphere.

So here I am in my Holiday Express hotel room in lovely Glendale.
Being the geek that I am - and addicted to the internet as well, I lugged my laptop with me from Boston to Phoenix so I could check in and such.
I should have posted my flight plans so that if anyone else on SDN was going to be flying the same thing, we could meet up.
It also occurs to me that I should have posted my hotel info as well. I coulda sworn someone in Cleveland at the boarding gate was giving me a hard 'is that you?' stare. Oh well.
In any case, wish me luck for tomorrow my droogs. I will, of course, post all the details. And if JenniJ shows up, I also brought a digital camera to shoot pix of the scewl and stuff.
My suit came out of the garment bag a tad wrinkled. The shirt I knew I would have to iron when I got here - no surprises.
That 'turn on the shower full blast to steam up the bathroom and hang your suit coat in there for a couple minutes to loosen the wrinkles' trick worked yet again! Amazing!
Ah, my pizza made it - time to snarf.

Thanks - just got back from AZ.
Posted my feedback. A little worried that I botched the ethical questions. Funny, I majored in phil, you would think that I'd have a stronger sense of these things. Oh well. We'll see.

Hello all,
I got my first interview letter a few weeks ago, for UMDNJ-SOM on Oct. 4. The strange thing is that I got my interview letter really quickly after I completed my secondary--within a week or so. I really didn't expect an interview, since I'm out of state (although nearby, in Delaware), so it was a surprise to get one so quickly.
Anyway, just wanted to wish everyone well. See some of you on Oct. 4. 🙂
