I was wondering what kind of interviews to expect with my stats:

Step 1: 208
Step 2: 241
3rd year: high pass in family med and surgery, pass in rest
4th year: honors in peds outpatient, anesthesia, ophthy
good extracurriculars
1 poster publication in ENT research
several research projects (mostly in ENT)

Go to a top 10 medical school. Solid letter of recs (chair of anesthesia is one of them)

I am afraid my step 1 score and average 3rd year will hurt me greatly
Thanks

A VERY rough guess: maybe 30-50% of the "top" programs, > 50% "2nd tier", most of the medium or small programs. Your Step 2 seems to make up pretty substantially for the Step 1, and I think having a big name LOR goes a long way. Paint yourself as a hard worker and an easy-to-work-with person and you'll do well.

If you are a US MD graduate with those scores and evals...you are golden!

The flood gates are wide open. Regardless of who you get a recommendation from. Just make sure the rec letter is a GOOD one. You should be fine! Also do a rotation somewhere you wouldnt mind going to and work really hard. You should be fine!
