Hey I was wondering what exactly is the environment in an interview? Is it one student talking to some man or woman across a desk in a small office? Because that's what I always picture in my head when I think of a med school interview. I know this is a rather pointless question but it's past 2 in the morning and I finished all my work so I thought instead of playing rainbow six 3 on xbox live I'll just bother my fellow SDNers with my meaningless question.

:horns: what is this?

Yeah, you've got the general image of an interview right. If it's not in the faculty member's office, it's probably at a designated interview room near the admissions office of the school. There's almost always a table/desk invovled, but you're not necessarily sitting across from the interviewer (at a 180 degree angle), because a few of my interviews have taken place where I'm closer to a 90 degree angle from the interviewer.

Not much different than a stereotypical job interview really. Except for the questions. 🙂

it can be across a desk, it can be facing eachother on a bench, it can be in the cafeteria across a table, it can be in a study room, it can be in an office but on the side of a desk so that there is no desk in between you two, it can even be on grass, so on and so forth. really it can be almost anything.

but it doesnt matter. just be yourself, be honest, and everything will be fine. never lie or try to make things up.
