I am so so happy. I when I opened the letter I was hoping it was a spot. Melbourne only interviews those in the middle band of applicants and those doing full fee.

Getting an interview means that I still have a shot and can explain my poor performance last year (health issues). I am so so happy 😍

I'm OOS. From what I gathered, they do interviews based primarily on when you applied. My interview group was for those who had submitted their applications in the summer and early September. We were mostly (if not all?) OOS applicants. Hope that helps.

MSU does rolling admissions, like Amberspyglass said. So the earlier you applied, the earlier your interview will be. They did the december interviews, the majority are in january and february. they send emails about it about 3 weeks in advance, so there is still TONS of time for interviews! Good luck

It doesn't really depend on VMCAS, it depends on the schools more. My schools (all except one) are interviewing in Feb., and not sending out invitations till mid. January. Think about this: rejection letters have already been sent out to those who did not get through the initial screening. No news is good news at this point. Check with your schools' websites, you can find information on their interview invitation/interview dates there.

I feel your pain! I had an interview with them and people on my interview date have already been accepted, and I have yet to hear anything 🙁 As far as interview invites, they give you about 3 weeks, so I would exptect anytime really. Maybe not before the new year, but right after... Hang in there, I posted this I think earlier in this thread, but they do interviews until the end of Feb., so there is tons of time still! The first batch was only people who applied in the summer and up until the very first days in September, so don't get too down on yourself. Your group hasn't even heard from MSU yet 🙂 Good Luck

Soo excited about the UPenn interview! What a great Christmas present! I randomly checked the mail at home today not expecting anything, and definitely jumped up and down. Letter from Washington State yesterday re: early interest. It pretty much stated that because I am a possible WICHE candidate (and will not know until Jan/Feb), that if in fact I do not qualify for WICHE funding, that I will be guaranteed an interview as an OOS applicant instead! YAY! This makes me happy, I did not receive this letter last year from WSU, it was straight to the alternate list for me 🙂

I found out last week that I will be interviewing at UPenn on 1/11. I am a CA resident. I also applied to Davis, CSU, Purdue, and WSU, but haven't heard about interviews anywhere else yet.

Ahh, I'm tearing my hair out! In all the fuss of finals, I had forgotten to update Penn about my address until they day I was leaving. I'll be away from my home address for a month... and though now I've left voice messages and emails telling them how to reach me, I'm worried that if I got an interview, the notification is just waiting in my mailbox, unopened and unopenable!

I got a confirmation email from Penn yesterday (12/26) that they had received my RSVP for my interview date (and it wasn't an Auto-reply), so I'm pretty sure they're in the office this week. Good luck!

Has anyone else her from Michigan? I went to file review on 11/19 and they say you should hear within 3-5 weeks about your interview. I haven't heard yet and it is going on 6 weeks. Any updates would be great!

I was placed in 'file review' 11/19 as well, and was also told 3-5 weeks. I emailed MSU and was told I am in batch 3 and would not hear anything until Jan or Feb. Then again, they also told me I was in stage II, but according to MSU website 'file review' is stage III. 😕
