Intragenerational Mobility vs Vertical Mobility

Are these two interchangeable? Or would one be a more valid answer than the other in a particular context?

The way I see it, they are both simply saying that there is socioeconomic mobility within a person's lifetime... Maybe intragenerational mobility requires some context regarding the wealth of the family, while vertical mobility doesn't look at the family's status.

There was a question I encountered at some point (can't remember the source) that chose one over the other!

My guess would be if the question talks about a specific person then that would be more intragenerational mobility, and if the question asks about a broader group or non specific person that that would apply more to vertical mobility. The actuality of that happening on the real MCAT is not likely as that would be too similar of an answer choice.
