Is it interview invites people receive in August or they actually have interviews in August? I thought the earliest possible interview would be in early September.

I think more of people receiving interview invites in august but I have heard of some people interviewing in late August

I got a few invites in August. I believe I had at least one interview near the end. Case Western and maybe U of Mich. Can't remember.

UT-Houston has their first interviews scheduled for July 24th... Presumably a few invites will go out before then.

A fellow applicant at an October interview with me told me he had started in August (I started in October).

In retrospect, he may have just been trying to psyche me out 🙂
