Just got an invite to UCSD about 15 minutes ago via email. 🙂 They stated in the email that all of their interview dates are full, but they have extended their interview season to February 9th, and I can chose to interview then. Also I can be placed on the waitlist for earlier dates. Don't count UCSD out just yet!

Also, I know that UCSF has invited 66+/75 total people they intend to invite. I heard this from the residency coordinator. Stanford appears to be full already.

question: i have an interview in late jan at ucsd and called to find out if there were any earlier dates available and thats when i found out about the wait lists. i guess they added another date (i think their latest date was feb 2
nd) bc of the large positive response...

These interviews are so late...When do we have to submit our rank list?

aka when is the latest you can interview and still have time to ponder over and possibly still do 2nd looks comfortably before you submit your choices?

Anyone receive rejections from NYU, Columbia, or UCSF??? These are the only 3 schools I am still waiting on. I would just like to know either way so that I can finish making travel plans. Is it fair to say that if I haven't received an invite by the end of this week it is probably a rejection?

Match lists are not due until mid-late Feb. The latest interview date I have seen offered so far is Feb 2, which leaves time for extra pondering and 2nd looks.

I just got an interview with Wichita, to add to SUNY-Syracuse, UVa. & VCU, with complete application except that my Step 2 CK board scores pending. Syracuse interview is next week. If anyone has any experience/thoughts with Syracuse psych program please PM me.

Consider calling program to see if interviews positions have filled.

Got the reject via email today, so it seems as though at least one batch of rejections has been sent out. Perhaps no news at this point is a good sign? Either that or they haven't gotten around to reading all of the applications.

Mentioned that they received 650 applications and will only be interviewing 80 for 16 spots.

Oh well, at least I have IVs at most of my top choices....

RUSH comes snail mail, and I heard from NWU a long time ago- they had a lot of dates listed though, so its possible they still have vacancies...

yeah got the MGH reject along with Stanford (big surprise) and a scathing snail mail rejection from UCLA in very poor taste. forget considering them for fellowship, or anything for that matter in the future!

I just got an interview with Yale (waitlisted) and Miami (program on some kind of probation). The strange thing is, Yale forwarded a past invite to me--that I never received, neither by email or on my eras. Strange. I interviewed at Syracuse this past Friday (an awesome program!). I go to Wichita in two wks and UVa. & VCU in mid-Dec. My application is complete except that my Step 2 CK board scores, which should be out this or next week, I hope. Anyone who has thoughts on the Wichita psych program, please PM me. Anyone know anything about the probation at Miami psych?

i think miami was on probation by acgme for hours concerning surg and ob/gyn which has since been rectified. psych was not on probation at any time. apparently they work you really hard there in many of the specialities...

any chance this could be a mistake? seems odd Yale would invite me and MMC would not. any advice would be appreciated.

Like you, I'm a USIMG and applied with Step 1 and CS and am taking CK this week.

Unfortunately, this is not unusual at all.

I was told by a number of programs that they would only consider me as soon as I had an ECFMG certificate. Once their interviews filled up, they sent me a rejection. I haven't heard from Maine yet, but suspect if you got a rejection for that reason, I'll have one soon as well.

OTOH, I got an invite from Mayo, which shows you how programs dramatically differ in their evaluation of applications.

Had a similar experience with another program. I got a 'reminder' e-mail referring to an earlier invite. Problem was, I never got the invite earlier. I e-mailed them back and asked them if it was a mistake, but, thankfully they said no. Weird. I may start making phone calls next week as well.

I just got a rejection from Cambridge Friday; my Step 2 CK score came in Thursday (206/84). My application is now complete except ECFMG cert. An invite also came in from Creighton. Yale also offered a date. Interviewed in Wichita Friday and Syracuse 2 weeks ago. Will go to UVa and VCU week of Dec. 11-14. Miami interview in Jan.
