Count me in, too.

True that! *sigh* Time to stalk the mailman again... 😎I really think my mailbox has not had this much of an impact on my happiness since freshman year of college. Here's to another few days in the dark! Or at least in a fuzzy gray area...

Seeing as how they typically get past #100 on the waitlist, I say that's pretty good!Dun Dun Dun! They numbers are out.
I'm 58. Not really sure if that is decent or awful.

😱 😡 🙁Yeah, that was kinda my reaction too. But...don't let it get you too bogged down. We may get accepted in the end, albeit in May or June, but it's better than nothing! We just need to hang in there. 😳Home from working and just checked the mail, delighted to see an envelope with ISU stamped on it.
I present to you my subsequent emotions: 😀😱 😡 🙁
#106. Geez, can't a guy catch a break?!?!? I was expecting to at least be in the 50's! Gah! This year has an outlook similar to '08: CRAPTACULAR
! I feel like such a dork saying that, but it's exactly what's been going through my head all day. And I know you guys understand 😉.Yeah, that was kinda my reaction too. Good luck to everyone who was waitlisted--both on getting off this list (which is moving already! yay!) and for your other applications--and to those of you who have a difficult decision coming up. I hope I'll see some of you this fall!
It's strange, I've heard of people getting rejected from their IS but accepted to an OOS school. It depends because each school does things a little differently. But...whatevs. You and I have to stick together, us being above the 100 mark and all.😀 I'll join you in "The Wait". hahLet's hope so! ISU is my top pick which serves to intensify the anxiety and stress of what I now call "The Wait".
I noticed U of I is your IS school and you recently interviewed there. I did my undergrad at UIUC and was rejected without an interview; from this I have came to the conclusion that I will never, ever truly understand how the adcom goes about selecting successful applicants. (just a little bonus rant -I'm feelin' the stress!)

I got my admissions packet today. So, even though it still feels like I dreamed the email and the call from the dean and the card, it's all for reals and now they can't take it back! Especially not after they get my check...! I feel like such a dork saying that, but it's exactly what's been going through my head all day. And I know you guys understand 😉.

Hey All!
I got my official waitlist letter and I am #7 (OOS). I also got a waitlist letter from Wisconsin saying that my 'rank is two' which I can't quite figure out if it means I'm literally #2, or if they have some other weird way of ranking.... Regardless, I am likely going to be withdrawing my Iowa application. GOOD LUCK AND HUGE CONGRATS to everyone!

Are you going to wait until after you get the official offer from Wisconsin before withdrawing your Iowa app? If not, let me highly highly highly recommend waiting. Just in case, who knows, better to be sure and wait until you have the offer in hand.![]()
VAgirl-- I also received an acceptance at Penn about a week ago, so I have a definite yes for next year no matter what happens with Wisconsin-- I kinda figured now that I know I have one acceptance and one high waitlist spot both at schools I'm totally in love with, I would let the ISU waitlist move a little...sorry I guess I forgot to post that part! I think your advice is totally solid, though, and appreciate it 🙂
Give the admissions office a call. They should understand your concern and let you know your rank, or send out another letter.I think my letter got lost in the mail
Ya, I emailed Brenda.. Shes awesome.. She sent me my letter as an attachment.. and after spending 20 minutes figuring out how the heck to open the attachment I finally figured out my number.
61!
I guess thats good. However, is anyone concerned that with the new hospital they built they wont go through the alternate list quite as quickly? Sorry to be Debbie Downer, but I dont wanna get my hopes up. Whats everyone elses opinion on this?
Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a while and I think I should share my good news: I was put on the alternate list mid-Jan with everyone else and then accepted 5 days later, so it looks like the list is moving already! I never got a rank... I think they accepted me the day before they sent them out. I'm still on 2 other alternate lists, but there is a good chance I'll attend ISU. good luck to everyone!
ps - turkeytalk - I think I was your ride from the airport on interview day!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!
