I’m a 2nd year with an iPad Pro but I was thinking of selling it. How useful would it be for 3rd and 4th year? I used it quite a bit for 1st year but now I rarely use it; I pretty much exclusively just use my laptop. It’d be nice to make some $ from it

Ok found mine to be great for Netflix... also OME (with the notes PDFs and/or anki open on my laptop).

Sell it.

A phone is superior on the go due to its size; and a coputer is better when you're at your house.

Tablets are that awkward in-between that seem helpful but end up being an inconvenience.

Thought it would be helpful, never used it.

I found an iPad to be very helpful during third year. It doesn't carry the negative stigma that a phone does and was great for studying. The pro may be too big to fit into your white coat though.

Sell and get the Mini.

It's great to have UWorld for questions, UpToDate/Amboss for checking differentials/treatments, Notability for taking random notes, MedCalc, and - most importantly - the EMR during rounds (we have Epic Canto). We often get labs back during rounds (or imaging) and it's nice to provide that to the team when we're on the floor. The screen is big enough for everyone to see, and I can do my own reading on it without worry about people thinking I'm just "on my phone."

Also, with all the random med school meetings/didactics, it's great to have Zoom on my iPad so I can pop into things without needing to find a spot to post up with my laptop.
