Are IR fellowships still going to be a thing in say 2022, will it still be feasible to get an IR fellowship from a mid tier rads program, if one wasn't able to match a combined IR residency or say even ESIR?

I’m not sure if you found your answer somewhere, but the IR fellowships are going away next year. But they are essentially becoming the IR Independent Residencies. Aka they added a year to training and crap load of confusion.
No one knows how competitive they will be. However if you want it go for it. Worst case you still completed a DR residency.
Lol yeah they basically added a year to the fellowship and changed the name. Kind of like how plastics fellowships after GS are called "independent plastics residencies"
