does anyone know if there are any residency programs that have an IR track for committed individuals? That is, are there any programs where people can apply to Diag. Rads and IR at the same time rather than the traditional Diag. Rads residency then applying for a fellowship thereafter? Thanks!

one i remember looking up was the pathway at MUSC. Someone told me that this particular path at MUSC is not ACGME certified however, but I cant tell you for sure if thats true

These are the programs offering the IR pathway:

The total duration of training is not any different though; you still have to do a year of IR fellowship. Rochester and Penn are the ones who have had the pathway for the longest time and the only ones who have actually graduated people in this pathway. The rest are newer programs.

geez...nothing in nyc? more and more i feel like nyc is an overrated place to train. is there some kind of brain drain out of nyc?

will there be more IR pathways popping up?
