So I am a 3rd year DO student. TBH, I didn't really have a dedicated period for Step 1. I kinda just watched boards and beyond and read first aid throughout my 2 years of undergrad. Never opened a textbook or attended lecture. Im actually pretty content with a 223. I always just wanted to be primary care physician. But reading someone of the posts, makes it seemed I have no hope lol.

I was wondering what are my chances for Family Medicine in a state like TX, or FL. Or IM? I have no interest in surgery or other reach specialities. Only others I would consider are: Gas or EM.

Are DO's really that disadvantaged?

I am also ranked top 1/3 in my class, if that helps. I found med school to be doable and pretty easy. I studies 1-2 hours a day, sometimes 0. One week before a test, I would study 5 hours a day. I don't mean to brag, but it just came naturally to me. I have 0 interest in research and won't do it lol. haha

Please be honest,

Thanks!

Bro, you're literally fine. Anyone here who says you will have a really hard time with that score in FM, especially in the states listed, is lying to you and is a dick for psyching you out. IM also very attainable.

Best of luck
