Hey i just got my first interview ever and im kinda nervous and jumping all over the place .... i have this really nice dark grey suit but its silk and its got a little shine to it. Should i just go out and buy a classic navy or black suit ?? 😎

I'm having a hard time imagining it, but it doesn't sound very professional.

Save a few bucks. Don't need to add to your bill. Unless you can afford it, then why not.

I think while you're sitting there in the waiting room with a dozen other guys who look professionally sharp, you will feel silly and will lose confidence. Lack of confidence is the last thing you want before you enter your interview.

Lol....it also brings up women's clothing too, as well as ethnic clothes. I think the OP is just talking about a suit suit.

Oh yeah KenKim? Well I'm rocking a chinchilla suit, gucci shades and some gators...then they have to accept me! haha

Basically, it doesn't matter what you wear as long as you look professional. If you want to buy a more expensive suit and have the means to do so, then I support that personal decision one hundred percent (not that you'd need it anyways). Just remember though: it's a dental school interview, not a runway in Paris.

Go get a normal suit...don't have to go all out and go to Mens Wearhouse/Dillards, you can pick up a reasonably nice suit at JC Penney/TJ Max

Yea i think its not a good idea... i dont want to give out the impression that im trying tooo hard to impress the intervieweeees

Confidence is an essential part of an interview. Some people may be able to pull off a silk suit, others may not. It all depends on whether you will feel self conscious or not? If you are going to feel awkward and think about whether you fit in or not, don't do it. But if you can wear it and not think twice about the suit, more power to you. Just make sure you look "classy".
