Hello,

I would like to know if anyone here would like me to provide a talk regarding a career in dentistry with everything about application process to dental school survival training and post graduate schooling. I will offer this lecture if there is enough people attending at no charge. If anyone here would like to have my presentation, perhaps you can speak to your local predental commitee and they can contact me directly. DP

Building up your CV?

wow, tough crowd 😀

Hello,

It is not that I want to beef up my CV but I would like to help anyone out there who wish to consider a career in dentistry. Regarding credentials, I have given numerous Continued Education (C.E) lectures to other dental professionals in various dental topics locally and nationally; as well as an academic mentor to students at the University of Tennesee at Memphis while I served as an Assistant Professor in the Restorative Department from 2001-2003. During my post graduate trainings from 1995-2001, I interviewed incoming residents for the AEGD, GPR,Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Fellowship programs. I also had a fair share of being an interviewed when I applied to Dental schools, GPR, AEGD,Pros and Maxillofacial Pros. I would like to share my experience with you so you can achieve your goal of becoming a dentist. Here is a link of the C.E lecture that I gave to the Southern California Academy of General Dentistry last year.

BTW, maybe you want to check out this lecture too (not dentistry related).

Dr. Phan,

Do you think you could tell me a little bit more about UT-Memphis. Right now I'm trying to make my decision between there and UPenn. I still can't figure out where to go, the cons and the pros for both schools seem to cancel each other out.

In general, I wondered how happy students are at Memphis, how supportive the faculty are, and how much academic support there is for students when they're struggling. I really want to go to a school where I've got the most support from my classmates and teachers, so I want to be careful to make the right decision.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks!

nah, if these ****ers can't figure out how to apply to dental school, I sure as hell don't want them to work on my teeth. You have no idea how many incompetent people are in dental school already.
