is CH2Cl2 polar or non polar?

As far as i know, CH2Cl2 is tetrahedral which makes 109.5 degree. 2 Cls don't cancel each other, which makes it polar.

but Crack DAT science g.chem saids its non-polar -_-

is this some kind of error? or... ??

Draw the Lewis structure ? Putting carbon in the middle ? It seems symmetrical..

I mean the chlorine does pull the electrons away from carbon, but there are one each side. That means, no dipole moment because it was canceled.

beware of just looking at the line model. think of the tetrahedral shape. no matter where you "put" the Chlorines, the molecule will always end up having a dipole moment, therefore it is polar

yea...it's polar. There was a similar question in Destroyer that I missed because I drew the lines. You have to look at the Tetrahedral shape
