Is it inappropriate for me as a cadidate to contact my interviewer and ask school related questions? That said, is requesting response from my interviewer considered rude and something I should be avoiding? I'm asking because I've heard some conflicting opinions. Thanks in advance!

Did your interviewer specifically say to email him/her with any questions?

If not, I (personally) would hold off asking questions until after a decision has been made. Ideally you would have asked any questions you had during your actual interview.

However, if you are waitlisted then I think it might be more acceptable. I guess it depends on the question and the length of a response that it requires.

Look at the med school's policy.

Some med schools have a strict policy where applicants can't contact the interviewer independently. You have to email the admissions office and they will forward the message.

Why can't you contact the admissions office and ask school related questions?
