Hello I am a first year dental student who started this week. Our school recommended we purchase EHuman's Tooth Atlas 9 to help with studying. I had a couple of questions:

Is the program actually worth the 550$ price tag?

Is there a cheaper alternative that works just as well?

Is there any way to get an older version for free? Thanks!

Unless the school provides it as part of your tuition, I wouldn't recommend it. Sure, it can help with studying and visualizing teeth, but you can probably get by studying with class materials or free resources. Save your money. I probably only used it 4-5 times at most during my first year, and I haven't touched it since.

Our school provided access to us, but I only know of a handful of people that ever used it. I would not recommend buying it.

Try the BoneBox app on iOS. It’s free and it can help you see teeth and visualize it in 3D.
