I was put on hold in mid-December. E-mailed the dean of admissions in early January and she told me to beef up my application strength by shadowing a doctor and doing more healthcare oriented activities right now, or even taking an additional upper-level science class.

Does this make sense? How could any of that affect my application status at this point? Are they even still interviewing candidates this late? Was she just being nice to me?

Also put on hold at UConn. Advice?

A friend of mine got an interivew invite there for mid march a few weeks ago, but the adcom said the dates were pretty much all booked and schedule tight. Sorry for the bad news but thats just what I hear.

was put on hold in september, got an invite about a week ago

At my interview day they mentioned that they will be interviewing through March. I got my invite in mid January and interviewed three weeks later. So, they are still interviewing, but the schedule is pretty tight.
