Is High Yield Molecular Cell & Bio a good book to get

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I annotated stuff from HY into FA and sometimes made page references. Still, HY is a pretty small book so you could easily get through it in a few hours.

the High Yield series also has written the 1st edition of HY Genetics........is this book a must? or whatever's covered in HY Cell Bio is enough?

any other books recommended for Genetics?

I bought the old version of HY cell and molecular b/c it was supposed to be the greatest book ever or something and I thought it was kind of a waste of money. It is a very basic overview of Genetics, and almost everything in there was stuff I already knew and considered pretty basic. It is a very short book and takes maybe a day to read so it couldn't hurt to read it, but just don't expect this book to get you more than one or two extra questions max unless you are weak in genetics. Basically buy the book if you consider yourself weak in Genetics. If you took genetics in college or it was covered well at your school, you shouldn't need it in my opinion.
