I am seriously considering having all my evaluators send their LORs to Interfolio. but before I do, I want to know if Interfolio is reliable or not. I mean the whole reason that I would even consider it is to speed up the process of completing my applications, but not at the risk of screwing it up in anyway. So please, tell me about your experiences with them, and whether or not I should go ahead and have them handly my LORs.

This depends on whether or not your school has a pre-med committee that normally writes composite letters of evaluation and are otherwise responsible for your LORs.

If you have one, not using it could raise eyebrows, especially at local schools who know for a fact that your school has a committe.

OTOH, if you don't have a pre-med committee who normally does this, Interfolio is a more efficient and reliable way than sending them yourself or having the professor do it.

I use Interfolio because my premed committee won't do committee letters to alumni who can't attend the meetings, seeing as I am in Honolulu and can't afford a flight to Baltimore. Interfolio has been legit and they have gotten all my delieveries there safely. It depends on how reliable your recommenders are on getting your LOR there. They can do it by fax, mail, or email, which gives you options. I think Interfolio works.

Add me to the happy interfolio customer list. Unlike the premed committee which often takes forever to process your requestion, interfolio usually sends the letter packet nout the same day. The customer service was also extremely helpful...two of my recommenders even take advantage of eletronic upload!

I haven't had any problems from the schools I"m applying to.

The only downside is the cost. It's 5 dollars per school via first class mail. You also have other options if you are pressed for time.

I have heard a lot of praise for Interfolio, though I don't use it myself. I am 4 years out of school but I was able to work with my pre-med advisor.

I amswered you on the pre do forum.....interfolio is great.

Another satisfied interfolio customer here. An especially good choice if you don't have a pre-med committee (as I do not), or if you choose not to use one.
