Until you realize that long hair = lots of effort to maintain and make it look nice. Then it's not so fun anymore.
Not if you have perfect Asian hair. JS

Sup girl. I like when you get all authoritative.Ok guys….
1) you cannot post memes with nudity; those have been removed in accordance with our TOS
2) you cannot use foul language and threaten other users; saying **** you is in violation of our TOS as well
Yeah, it would be fun to be a girl IMO. Free drinks, free entry into clubs, you never have to approach romantic partners, and you get long hair to swish around.
I think it depends on the specialty. That being said, it is difficult for non-physicians to sometimes be understanding of the responsibilities that physicians have, esp. in the more rigorous specialties, i.e. Surgery, which can interfere in a relationship.Sup girl. I like when you get all authoritative.
To the actual topic. I read that >50% of female physicians get married to other physicians. So I assume there's a lot of slutting it up on the way to becoming one.
I am not so sure about that, unless she murders you or your family or something.

Considering your average SDN med student is a studying machine, I'm surprised a thread on sex on SDN isn't double that.9 pages from Friday morning to Monday morning.
You guys all need a life.
I'm not reading 9 pages of this crap unless I'm really bored later today.
That being said - Anyone have a TL;DR?

Speaking of slutting it up. Got some juicy info today about an administrator at my soon to be school. Basically trying to take advantage of my classmate.

Male admin, female student. Huge age gap. I feel terrible for her considering she had an idea for something and someone referred her to him. They exchanged emails about getting her plan through and then when they met, it was harassment and inappropriate convo.Female administrator or male administrator? Female classmate or male classmate?

She didn't tell anyone but me and a friend who helped her write a professional email to said person. It's kind of a big wig and she doesn't have proof, so I agree of just cutting off communication and being stern about no retaliation.Poor girl. How did the school respond?

Yea I don't even know. This is why it's not all fun and games being a woman Ark.Ugh. Being harassed by someone in power is so fuqed up. Wait is she writing him an email? Personally, I wouldn't for fear of him just turning it around onto her. I would either go to the Dean or pretend it never happened honestly.

And here I thought I was being coy.
Happens to everyone. Also the other way around. WhoopsMen thinking women are hitting on them when they actually aren't? Yeah, that never happens. 🙄
You've clearly never met my ex wife 😀 I would literally rather die than spend a single day with that horrid woman.
The wrong person can make you miserable in ways that are very much out of your control. Being alone, however, is only miserable if you make it so.
I'm cool with love and loss, there's nothing wrong with that."It is better to love and lose than to never love at all"
But sometimes, there's never love- just loss of yourself and years of your life, followed by loss of a relationship that never should have existed to begin with...
And that is why I say take your time, know yourself, and do a good deal of searching for the right one. It's okay to meet a few wrong ones along the way- there's a lot of girls that things just didn't work out with that'll always have a special place in my heart for their own reasons- but when it comes time to settle down you do not **** it up.

But there are some pairings that people get lost in that are loveless and empty. I've got roughly a dozen female coworkers that openly admit to hating their husbands and only being with them for the kids and plan on divorcing them as soon as they're out of the house. I know about as many guys that straight up hate their wives and work crazy OT every week just to avoid them. One couple, we actually work with, and one works evenings while the other works days so they never have to see each other. Then there's the crazy ones, or the abusive ones. And I don't mean garden variety crazy, I mean "if you don't spend every waking second of the day with me I will destroy your life" crazy. The kind of girl or guy that will try and get you fired from your job to keep you home more often, or try and get in trouble with your family, job, or even the police if you try to leave them. Some people- weak people, lazy people, kids that never were loved as children and will take anything over nothing at all- end up in perpetual abusive, miserable, soul-sucking relationships that make both parties completely unhappy and often spawn children into an environment rife with emotional trauma. It is truly better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. But sometimes, there's never love- just loss of yourself and years of your life, followed by loss of a relationship that never should have existed to begin with. I'd much rather have nothing at all than loss and still more loss, with nothing but a string of haunting memories that bring me no joy, for there was none even in those moments we shared together.
Lol now I'm scared. I just got off the phone with my parents, we had another discussion of my arranged marriage (nothing substantive discussed yet, though). I'm worried that she will end up being a nasty person (not in the good way), and my life will be even more miserable rofl.

Can you explain to me what you meant by "nasty person (not in the good way)"? - Thank you.

Then go find urself a lady friend!
(I know nothing about what's culturally acceptable, so if you're trying to appease your parents you probably shouldn't listen to me)
Meaning she completely lets herself go and/or never wants to have sex and/or has a serious psychiatric illness.
For what it's worth, I don't hold anyone else to a standard I wouldn't hold for myself. That's why I have been working on my physique, diet, and mental health.
My goal is that before graduation, I will be able to deadlift over twice my bodyweight. I was close to that number before, but an injury shut me down. But now I'm back, thanks to my lovely physical therapist!
Yeah, I'm working on it. I've made a point of regularly exercising, cutting excess carbs from my diet, and talking to people I don't know when we go out. But honestly, it's probably too little too late at this point. My parents want grandchildren by the time I am a PGY-4.
I think you really are doing everything you can do at this point.
But really, why does it matter what your parents want. It's your life!
Bc cultural bias.
Clearly there is a lot of that going around.
I mean I'm not trying to shet on anyone else's cultural background. I, personally, just couldn't imagine caring that much about what my parents think.
