I go to a 4 year university and I'm a senior right now.
I feel like I need to retake 2 intro classes that i sort of did bad in before i graduate in 1 year. So I was looking through class schedule in community college and they are offering online classes. does it look bad on the transcript if i retake the class as online course? also i know grades doesnt transfer to your school. so does that mean at the end, when i turn in my transcript to ada, would they combine the grades i got at my university + at community college? please let me know~ thanks!

Negative chief... Regarding retake at CC

NO they will not combine any retakes... everything will be considered individually.

ex. bio 1 from Univ 4 credits and bio 1 from CC 4 credits will not average to 4 credits but they will count individually to a grand total sum of 8 credits...

Agree. It won't look good if you go from 4 year Uni -> CC.

Try to take it at your uni.

ohhh i could take it at my university but i'm still have to take some upper classes and i felt that i wasnt gonna have time to repeat those 2 intro classes. i'm already taking 3 upper classes this semester. but you guys dont recommend taking it at cc.. thanks for the advice~

its your call, I mean if they are below C then no matter what you have to repeat them before you apply to d-school and also if you are like a bio major and those classes are biology then you wont be able to graduate if you dont take them in your school...

dont repeat/retake 4 year classes in CC... take them in Univ. its your call.

I know a lot of schools dont let take science classes at CC. You can take anything else, as long as its not science classes. I've called schools because I need to take Orgo 2. They said as long as its not at a CC its fine.

Dang!! so if I already graduated from a 4 yr univ, then I can't retake science classes at a CC to boost my science gpa? Damn I'm screwed?

Well I emailed a bunch of schools regarding taking Physics at a CC. I took all of the other pre-reqs at a 4 year institution and upper division classes and they they said it would be fine. To be sure just email the schools. Most schools understand that we are not loaded and cannot always afford the universities for every class.
