How difficult is it for foreign trained dentists to pratice in Canada ?
I am aware that u have to go back to school for 2 years , but is it difficult to get into a school in Canada ? what do school require from u to get in ? is it mostly based on an entance exam ? if so how challenging is the exa, ?

Thanks

yeah... it is very dificult to get into canadian university. most of them (3 or 4) accept only 5 -6 people, and university of toronto around 20. but there (in toronto) you will recieve only certificat with whom you could work only in ontario.

you should pass Eligibility Exam, ELTS (most universities don`t accept toefl), and then apply and wait for a miracle...

so what your saying is that its all most impossible to be acceppted?is it easer in other part's of Canada ?for example Vancouver?
is it easer to go and tray in the u.s?
as a Canadian who studded out of Canada can i work in the u.s, after passing the ndb I, II and the two year program (of course)?.
please let me know !
😕

as long as you have DDS or DMD from Canadian university or US, you could work on both places. or you could earn certificate that would allowe you to work in only in this province - for exm. - Ontario. I`m not saying that is impossible to get into Canadian school, but for examle British Columbia or Western Ontario accept 5 people each.

The Canadian EE exam. is very very competitive & seats are very less.
Due to new immigration laws lot many foreign dentists got immigration to Canada but the seats for advanced standing programmes are the same.
For total 50 seats in Canada almost 600 dentists compete. They have only one EE test & everyone can apply everywhere. Its very frustating to see years & years pass by but dentists have to get labour jobs to meet both ends meet.I AM NOT DISCOURAGING U but most of international dentists from Canada r now going to US for upgrading as even after clearing EE exam, interview & clinical exam is more hard.
But think about almost 60 people who get every yr.[Though they may have tried 2nd or 3rd time & year to get thru]
Good luck!!

could anybody tell me about somebody who goes to attend US dental school daily from canada....talking about the windsor-detroit OR buffalo-niagra city combinations.
kindly tell me weather thats possible or not for a dental student as i know people who r doing residencies there but nobody in dentistry.
please reply.

When u r in dental school u r working somewhere 8 AM to 9-10 PM in the school.Though tutorials may be over by 5 but u land up in Lab. or Library to prepare urself.
It is very hectic & practically impossible to travel daily the way u r asking[thats what my friends in dental schools tell me.They donot get time even for their families].I donot think anybody can travel that much daily. 🙂
