Hi all:

I have a 3.0 overall and science.
Lots of volunteer/shadowing/research
I applied in July, and took the OAT in August and am retaking it end of January!

Do you feel it's late in the cycle? How late are people accepted?

Nope...I submitted my optomcas application in december and re-took my OAT in early Feb and got in to my school in march. just depends where you want to go and how strong your application is/oat scores are

I took my OAT in Nov and am retaking at the beginning of February. I've called each school that I've applied to (PCO, SCCO, SCO, UMSL) asked "what are the chances of being offered an interview with scores over 300 at that time." I also asked them about their Alternate List and around what point (months) do they begin to add applicants to it. Each of them have an application deadline of March (expect for UMSL) and said that they still conduct interviews through like May and have offered students' seats well into the Summer months.

As long as your application is before the school's deadline, it's technically not too late. It may be a littler harder, but not too late.
