...like you don't know nearly enough 4 days before the Exam?

All indications are that I'll be ok. I've done high 70%'s/low 80%'s on most all of UW 48 question random tests. I've done well all of second year, including setting some high scores on final exams (small class though)...and yet I feel like I'll be doing way too much guessing come Friday.

Any advice on how to calm down/relax the night before the exam?

Additionally, what did you guys try to cram into your last couple days? I'm gonna give First Aid one more good looking, then take some back-of-the-book review tests in Pharm and Physio. Other than that I feel like taking on anything new at this point is futile.

What do you guys think?

If you think you are going to do bad on the test.... you probably WILL. It is all about your attitude towards the exam. I have read posts in which people have done 60 % correct and still obtained a good grade. Stop worrying yourself so much and give it your all. Many students would like to be in your position. Best of luck!👍

I take the test in two days (38hrs!!! :scared:) and I feel similarly to you. My UW scores are not even as good as yours and on the last two NBMEs I've taken, I've scored in the mid 240s. So, based on the evidence, I'll do fine, but I too can't shake this feeling that I don't know enough and won't do as well as I'd like.

I suspect it's because I have a perfectionist streak and like to go into tests feeling very confident. I think it's important to remember though that this test is unlike any other test we've taken and that it's virtually impossible for most of us to go into the test feeling as confident as we would normally. We just have to trust that we prepared the best we could and give ourselves credit for the last two years of hard work. Also, I think we tend to focus on what we don't know much more than what we do know -- which is actually quite a lot at this point -- even if we don't feel that way. If you try to concentrate on everything you do know now, your confidence will be stronger going into the test.

Based on your UW scores, you're going to do really well. Try to relax (I know it's easier said than done) and take a minute to congratulate yourself for doing such a great job so far.

It's impossible to not feel a little inadequate and nervous about what is, by most standards, the most important test of your life. Just remember that you've prepped hard to get to this point, and if you're scoring that well on practices you've done about all you can. There's a huge mental aspect to the test, it's long and grueling, do your best to stay confident and focus on the next question, the next section, etc. You can't worry about past stuff, or it'll just set you back. GOOD LUCK!!! Everybody has been through these feelings, it's totally normal.

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm feeling pretty good at the moment 😀

since we've all done behavioral sci....you're familiar with the curve that says you are at your best performance when you have a lil anxiety.....
Embrace the anxiety....Be like will in Taladega nights (tame that cougar)
