I'm a re-applicant and already completed the secondaries to many of the schools I am applying to this year. Is there a consensus about if it is acceptable to re-send the same secondary to a school two years in a row?

If you didn't get admitted the first time, would you really want to use the same secondary essays the second time around?

I would have to agree with the previous post.

They no doubt will keep your application from the previous year and see that you did not care to take the effort. Plus I think the entire application process is about giving adcoms information about you. You may as well take the opportunity to tell them something that you haven't told them already.

It might also be a good chance to write about experiences you had in the year between applications.

Hope this helps. Check out my blog at www.drbyron.blogspot.com

This isn't necessarily true. In many cases it is not the secondary that stopped you from getting in. I actually had the director of admissions at a school I applied to last year recommend that I have them transfer last years secondary to this years application so I don't have to waste time sending it. Granted I was a late applicant last year, which seems to have been my biggest problem. I say if they're good, and you don't have anything to add, go for it. If you have something to add, even better.

I think that's a good question to ask our mentors.
