Is it possible to do well on the WS if you don't finish an essay?

I wrote today and was in the middle of my first sentence of my concluding paragraph and time ran out. I choked...Is there still hope to possibly get a Q or is all hope lost?

I think you still have a chance of doing OK if you've completed all 3 tasks. If you're concluding paragraph was your last point of describing when something is and when it's not, and you didn't get to it, then you'll have a tough chance of getting a decent letter

If you nailed the first one, you may yet be alright - I certainly wouldn't lose all hope yet. If you generally write good essays, and wrote a quality essay up until the end of your time, you could still get most of the points. I don't think a Q is necessarily out of reach, as long as you nailed the first one and your second was understandable.

Time ran out while I was in middle of writing my last sentence on one of my essays (well, technically I had finished writing the sentence but it was completely unintelligible) and it was a sentence that pretty much summed up my entire argument. I ended up getting an S.
Not exactly the same situation that you are in, but you can still get a great score as long as the synthesis was in there.

To the two guys above...Thanks..I'm praying for that Q. Yeah I believe (but who knows how it'll be marked) that my first essay was on point. I felt it was good..My second one was decent, so hopefully I can salvage some points.

Thanks.
