Is it possible to frontload rotations

Of course it is, the only problem is that 80% of any given class has the same idea whether for vacation or to take all major rotations before step 2 and it usually is not possible to schedule rotations exactly as you want them. Also, this is a quick way to get jaded from medicine pretty quick. I would do no more than 3 major rotations in a row while trying to avoid a combination like ob, surgery, and medicine. It just is not worth it.
 
Yeah, provided there's enough space in your school's schedule. There's not much difference between "front loading" your M3 schedule and doing an "average" M3 schedule -- at the end, all M4's have a surprising amount of time off during their last semester.

I don't think I've had 3 months off in a row since 8th grade...
