hello there 🙂
i was just wondering if i wanna try to get in for the DDS courses starting in august/ september 2010 could i

1. take my part 1 in jan 2010
2, take my part 2 in may 2010
3, send out my applications by june 2010 (i hear caapid starts applications in in june)

i know it sounds like a tough squeeze, but i wanna try planning out my path to DDS 🙂 and now since we can only write our nbde once, i gotta give it my best shot...

what say?

Why dont you try doing really well in ur NBDE part 1 and get some US experience after that. trhen apply to part 1 schools with an amazin part 1 and 3-4 months of US observation /DA ship.

The decision ofcourse is upto you.

my gpa is 3.2 (not terribly good, which is why i wanna have a part two score on my application too) and havent given my toefl yet.. lol.. not too well prepared, hm?

but yeah.. i guess what you're saying makes more sense.. would an observation in a clinic in the US look better than a decent part 2 score on my application?

also, would it be better having done an observation in a clinic in the US or actually having worked at a clinic (owned and run by an American qualified dentist) based in Bangalore, India?

what may look best is having all of it on ur application..haha
3.2 is a decent GPA.. try getting an eval from WES. ur GPA may improve.
Do the part 1 and in the mean time wait and see what happens with this years addmissions.

I think they'll prefer a US cert to anything else cuz basically they wanna know if you know how things work in there clinics.

the CA unis will test you on ur work no matter how much experience you have.

You should give the part 1, ace it and then take it from there.

Great time line for 2011 class start.

Admissions and interviews go almost 1 year before school start. The interviews are now beginning for 2010 class start.

hahaha! oh fudgecicles!! are you serious?!! so when does the academic year begin then? i was under the impression that admissions june, year begins sept.. hmm.. looks like i was waaayyy off!
