Is is proper to withdraw from interviews after they've been scheduled, but in advance (two weeks) of the interview date? I would do so depending on acceptances from schools I interviewed at earlier.

I figure, it would be rude because you've already set up the date. But then again, it'd be better to save those spots/effort for other people who might be more interested?

Also, do schools look down on taking a long wait time (2+ weeks) between being invited to scheduling an interview? My schedule is kind of complicated (some classes that can't be missed, etc.)

Thanks!

If you absolutely don't want to go, don't go. Don't waste your time, don't waste theirs.

It's not like I'm flooded with interview invites, but the 2 I got today told me to reply within 7 days..

if the school uses rolling admissions, it is probably better to interview earlier. If they don't use rolling admissions, then just pick one thats the most convenient for you. Also interviews are a good excuse to get out of class.

If you know you're not going to the school, don't waste an interview slot. They'll find someone to fill it and that person will be grateful for the opportunity (even if it is short notice).

As for scheduling, I would get back to them as soon as you reasonably can. Schedules fill up fast and you want the earliest date possible.

You might lose an interview invite if you wait longer than 2 weeks. The email I got from Case went to my spam box and I never noticed it, and like 10 days later the interview director lady emailed me and it was along the lines of you have 4 days to schedule an interview or you will lose your spot.
