I AM SOOOOOoooooo sick of secondaries right now.

I've done 17 and i recieved 4 interviews all within a couple of weeks in early Aug. but nothing else since. I feel like my chances are good with what i've got now, but don't know if I should risk it...definitely am not going to apply again (I'm a reapplicant). What to do, what to do...

it's hard to tell w/o knowing your stats, ECs, etc and the schools you applied to

turned in secondaries for:

Albany Medical College Regular M.D.
Albert Einstein College of Medicine Regular M.D.
Boston University School of Medicine Regular M.D.
Dartmouth Medical School Regular M.D.
Emory University School of Medicine Regular M.D.
George Washington University Sch of Med & Hlth Sci Regular M.D.
Georgetown University School of Medicine Regular M.D.
Jefferson Medical Coll. of Thomas Jefferson Univ. Regular M.D.
New York Medical College Regular M.D.
New York University Regular M.D.
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicin Regular M.D.
Tufts University School of Medicine Regular M.D.
University of Chicago - Pritzker Regular M.D.
University of Michigan Medical School Regular M.D.
University of Rochester School of Medicine and Den Regular M.D.
Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Regular M.D.
Weill Medical College of Cornell University Regular M.D.

recieved interviews for (1st one on the 13th)

George Washington
U of Chicago
Northwestern
Vanderbilt

stats:
32R
3.9, 3.9 UCLA
volunteered in hospital/non-hospital envts
have several publications (not first author however)
~4 yrs research exp. (have been out of school for 2 and working in a lab since)
besides that nothing really specatcular in the EC arena...

I think I am an OK interviewee, but I have that awesome ability to say some really stupid things when I don't think before I speak...blah.

Wow, nice stats. I think you are fine applying to only 20. Especially if you have gotton four interviews already. I have read from most schools that they do not conduct their interviews till October, all the way through Feb. I would not worry to much about it right now. you are doing great.

However, if you are a Cal resident, people usually apply to 20+ because it is very difficult to get into the UC's since they are all ranked in the top 2o. Well, hope this helps

yup, tell me about it!!
I'm not really sure if i'm still considered a cali resident anymore since i've lived about a year in MA now...so i didn't apply to any UC schools great as they are because they don't really accept many out of staters...
