Is it safe to say I won't get anymore interviews at this point?

It's february and I've wanted to hear back from 2 other schools. But my status hasn't changed since August, which is "received/under review". So I guess I should be expecting a rejection from them soon? Kind of heartbreaking 🙁

I'm waiting for Buffalo and Columbia. I know they're really competitive but I was really hoping for an interview.

Same on this, for Cali schools though so don't know what chances I have.. 🙁 UCLA and UoP whyyy

I can't speak for Columbia but Buffalo is done with the interviews.

Columbia told us that their final interviews are the last week of February.

Just got my buffalo rejection 🙁 Why do they have to put it in such flowery words. It still hurts. I'm so stupid for thinking that I might actually have a chance at buffalo or columbia

What, every time something doesn't go your way in life you just blame yourself and call yourself stupid? What is the benefit in that? Is it going to make you work harder next time? Doesn't seem like it. Instead of putting yourself down, why don't you reframe it and think "Okay, I didn't get in to these schools this time. Why not? What can I do to improve my chances if I decide to apply again next time?"

What happens if you get into dental school and fail your first test? How are you going to handle that?

I am sorry you got rejected. I know how it feels, it's not fun. However, there is something about your attitude/post that makes me think you are taking it TOO personally. These schools gets thousands of applications for usually less than a hundred seats. Is everybody that gets rejected from there an awful applicant? Probably not 🙂

No, I'm blaming myself for getting my hopes up and thinking i had a chance. I wasn't being realistic. I mean I had sup-par GPA and okay DATs. I should have seen that rejection letter coming.

Anyways, the reason why I posted this thread was because deposit deadlines were coming up and i wasn't sure if i should wait around was to see if Columbia and Buffalo will offer me an interview or if i should should go ahead and decide which school to attend next fall and send my deposit already. I'm just gonna move on and make a decision on where to attend.
