How late is too late?
We have electronic evals system so everything is accessible to letter writers

I say go for it if you're pretty confident that the attending would remember who you were, or if he offered to write you one at the end of the rotation.

No. Do it. I asked for one from like my 2nd rotation of 3rd year. The doc remembers me and is willing to write me one.
