Is it too late to expect an invite from UoP?

My final mailing date was 8/26. I have a 23 AA/23 TS/26 PAT for my DAT, and around 3.5 for GPA and sGPA. It has been more than 8 weeks since the school received my app, and I'm getting very nervous. Is it too late to expect an interview invite from UoP? Should I call them to see what's going on? Also, how do they reach you? via email or phone?

What are your ECs and community service? Pacific is looking for well-rounded students.

I'm not sure about the interview timeline, but in regards to the contact method, I think they call (if I remember correctly from reading other posts).

Ya, I am in the same boat. I'm not sure why I never got a call, I've worked really hard and thought I was definitely qualified for UoP. I guess whoever reviewed my app had other thoughts though.

I hope it's not too late! I got a call from Pacific a few weeks back when I was in class. After class I called back and they said no one had called me. I was hoping it was a mix up and I'd get called for an interview soon, but it's been over 8 weeks since my app was complete so it looks like I'm out of luck.

I'm almost certain they are handing out post-Dec interviews now. I got an interview back in September and it was already for a November interview date. But a lot of students there have told me that plenty of spring interview people were accepted at UOP so it's never too late. I would definately call the school to show your interest.

Haha no I don't know any students there (and if anyone I knew did that I'd probably slap them). But I called back the same number that called me and it was their admissions office.

That's a BIG trip. I probably wouldn't be able to sleep at night thinking if only I had picked up my phone.

OP:

My mail dates and stats are VERY similar to yours and I received an interview invite via phone in September. On PreDents, it looks like they are giving out post-Decembers. Until you get rejected though, there is still a chance of getting an interview. If it's bothering you, give them a call. They are very nice people 🙂

How do you know it was UoP that called? Memorize the admissions office number?

You know the same thing happened to me as well w/ AA-23/TS-25/PAT-20 sgpa3.85. Perhaps they feign away from too high of DAT scores? I know some med schools are known to not give interviews to overqualified applicants because they believe that the applicant would not accept an offer of admittance... pure speculation btw

I am on the same boat. I want a call from them sooo bad! I am starting to give up hope on hearing from them. I just had an interview over at ASDOH and apperently the program over there is almost identical with UoP except that in the 4th year they make it a 'mini-GRP' where students are just on rotation in clinics all over the country getting hands-on experience. It was pretty interesting. Apparently the dean was good buddies with the guy who started UoP dental program.

I called the school, and the person said they are still reviewing applications. sigh. 🙁
