Is it too late to interview?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I dont know what to say on NYCPM, but I venture to say that DMU and AZPOD have 20% or less of their seats still available due to the relative small class sizes of each school and the point of time in which we are at in the application cycle. I know that AZPOD had sent an email out saying that less than 20% of their seats were available when I was going through the process. I got accepted to DMU and OCPM and chose DMU. I elected to not go to the rest of my interviews so I can't truly say anything. But it doesnt hurt to call the schools and find out how many seats are still available. This will help you decide on whether or not it is worth your time and money to go interview. I wish you all the best and good luck with everything.

I got interview invites to both schools as late as March 15th. I declined both, so not sure what the real status of their classes are.

thanks for the reply... how late in the year do the interviews go til?

until classes are full. AZPod has a very small class, I imagine they may be close to being full. I've heard repeatedly students getting into the larger classes as late as June. You can always call the school and ask. Just remember, it's rolling admissions and they usually give 30 days to accept/decline, so they may be at a point where they are waiting to hear back before sending out more invites.

Good Luck!

If you're baller like flyhi, you just get accepted anywhere anytime.

People get accepted in May and sometimes even June

got an interview today at AZPOD...things going good so far.

Good. Just try to be positive. Doctor Weisman will be one of the guys in the committee. He is a very nice guy. They ask questions directly by reading your personal statement. If you did volunteer work, be sure to give your honest answer when they ask you. Why podiatry is another question. I hope you will be fine. I got in to AZPOD two weeks ago and withdrew because i am going to DMU. Looks like they still have some spots available. I liked the campus and the faculty members are very hospitable. Dr. Weisman will ask straight forward questions and he has the tendency to help you if you stumble or feel nervous. The other two individuals will ask questions that have to do with ethics. I was asked about the current healthcare crisis in Africa because I volunteered for a month in Tanzania and I had that in my personal statement. I was not aware of any "crisis" so I had to say that citizens ought to protest and overthrow the dictators in many parts of the African continent. They all laughted and we had such a good time. One person asked me why should they give me a seat. I read the school's mission statement and said that I have everything they are looking for and they found my answer very compelling.

You will do fine, buddy.

Good Luck!!!
