I wanted to know if it is too late for me to begin completing the primary application...
Especially when people are getting their secondaries now. Any thoughts?

Yes and No.... Yes, it's typically late at this point in the app process.... No because I know of people applying late that get into med school. If you decide to apply now, be aware that you might not get your first choice.... Good luck

You're not late late...just behind a bit but considering that most schoools have their deadlines months from now, you're not (for the lack of a bettter word...)"screwed"

give me a freakin break... your not late in the process by any means.... don't listen to what other people have to say ... its barely august anyway

You should defenitly apply if your heart is set on attending an osteopathic school. I applied MUCH later than july last year and I got into my top choice. It all depends on your attitude. Good luck.

I didn't apply until Oct/Nov last year and I am starting DO school this fall. And my scores were not that great at all. And I had more than one acceptance and quite a few interviews. Apply to all that you can afford(don't forget secondary app fees) to increase your chances.

You're not late. Some don't get them sent until they get their August MCAT scores back.

Some have sent already...some will send later.

Finish them up and have them sent by the end of the month...no worries.

Good luck.

I agree. Definately not late, actually early to many.
don't worry.

later

I submitted today!!

Hey DO's Rule-
I saw your post and just wanted to know where you applied and if you could give me an idea of "not that great" stas were. I understand if people are reluctant to share stats, just an idea would be cool. I don't really know where to apply either--I have my heart set on CCOM. I'm applying to both DOandMD programs with a 26 (9,8,9) and a 3.4 sci, and 3.6 overall. I know it's not great, but I wanted to try to apply anyway. Any insight?

I didn't get my primaries in until the beginning of Nov. and my secondaries in until Mid January. Don't worry about it.
