hello everyone-
i'm sure this question has been posted a lot in the past and i apologize for the redundancy, but situation is this: I am a junior at UF and I have known that I wanted to work in medicine in some form since I began. Until I recently started volunteering in a pediatric clinic, I really wasn't sure where I wanted to go, but now I feel like pediatric denistry is a direction I want to consider. My question is, is it too late in the process to get involved with denistry? I have had some exposure to the field, but not as much as other applicants. My gpa and extra curricular activities are competitive, I just don't know if I should not even consider denistry and just stay on the track I was on which was much more directed to a career as a physician. What should I do to improve my chances of getting into a good dental program? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you all.

are u shooting for 2004 or 2005?

By now, I hope you know whether you would like to be a physician or not. If you want to be a MD, then use every bit of your energy to be a MD. Dont even think of other alternatives.

But, for whatever reason, you think dentistry is better. I can answer you that you probably will never be too late (unless you are over 65)

Shadowing or being in a dental clinic is very important.
You must enjoy the work since u will do that for the rest of your life.

If you are applying for 2004, please take DAT asap.
And do research on dental school
finish your application
get as much dental experience.
