Is it worth applying to UNC as an OOS applicant?

Hi Everyone,

I understand that UNC accepts very few OOS students into their class. I am applying this cycle with a 3.68 GPA and 23 AA, 23 TS, 20 PAT. I know it might be difficult to tell, but from looking at my numbers alone, do you think its worth applying to UNC hoping to get an interview??

I'm a Maryland resident btw, and from looking at the official UNC dentistry site, they have not accepted a student from the state of maryland in the past 6 years!

With your stats, I would say it's worth it. And yes, UNC are notorious for holding grudges against specific States or schools... cough... cough Clemson😕

This is funny, I saw that you posted a DAT breakdown this morning, as I did, and I am also an OOS applicant applying to UNC as a Maryland resident. I have a 3.94 GPA and 21 AA, 21 TS, 25 PAT, so I feel like we're essentially in the same boat, good luck to you!
