Is it worth doing away elective in December?

Despite it being interview season....is it worth doing an elective in this month especially for an avg student struggling to get into ortho

If you are hoping that the away rotation will increase your chances of matching there, then perhaps it will help. But most programs with interview dates in January have usually sent them out before December. So a December away may be a waste in the end.

it could help you at that program only... unless you are having to leave every week to go interview at other programs.
