Is it worth it to do an SMP with these stats?

Hey guys, I graduated this year with a oGPA of 3.2, and I got a 20 on my DAT. I am planning on retaking my DAT, and I know I can do better. My question is, if I get at least a 22 on my DAT, and I gain dental experience for the next year (shadowing, assisting), do I have a chance of getting into dental school? My top choices are all along the west coast, with UW being number 1 (my state school). What do you guys think?

You will probably need to raise your GPA and DAT score to have a decent shot at UW. They also emphasize volunteer experience and at a minimum, 100 hours of shadowing. It doesn't hurt to apply this year and see what happens. If cost is a concern, look for schools where you can gain in state tuition after your first year.

if you are really concerned with your stats (imo, 20 DAT is plenty good to apply) then i would consider doing a Masters instead of a SMP. your GPA isnt that low.
