After finishing all of my peds residency interviews I am now wondering if it would be worth it to send the programs an updated transcript.
All the programs have is my 3rd year transcript and MSPE - which only shows 2 of the 6 peds rotations I have completed. I got an honors on my core peds rotation and a high pass on an elective peds for 3rd year. However, I have received all honors on the 4 elective peds rotations I have completed in my 4th year.
Does anyone have any advice on whether or not to contact the programs and/or get them updated transcripts showing my new honors grades? Will it make a difference (i.e. how important are clinical rotation grades)? Also, will simply the fact that there is hard evidence that I've had more pediatric experience in the way of completing more rotations be a positive?
Thanks!
