Hi everyone, hope all of you are having a great day!
I feel like asking you for your opinion about my chances of matching into an obgyn residency. Just out of curiosity, and of course - any suggestions and advice are desired!
My credentials:
*Non-US IMG (although I am a green card holder, so no need for visa)
*2018 YOG
*Step 1 USMLE 225
*Step 2 CK & CS not taken yet (preparing currently)
* 1 month of USCE so far - surgery rotations at one of the top US university hospitals (if that matters - strong LOR in progress)
* planning to spend all the year until next match season doing obgyn research: working with one of the obgyn fellowships director (chance for publication and strong LOR) + volunteering in local community + observership with obgyn physicians (again, chance for LOR)
As far as I understand, my biggest goal now should be to pas step 2 ck and cs with best results possible, and work hard for my possible publications/lors. Please correct me if I'm wrong or missing something.
Any comments/advice are very welcomed!
