Debating if i should buy it to use for practice

Personally, I thought the Pearson tests were utter jokes compared to the real thing today. Kaplan's emulates the test pretty well, but the free practice tests included with the book are not 100% accurate either, though they are closer than the Pearson practice.

I bought test 3 and 4 and i think it was definitely worth it. I took the pcat today and there were many similar questions (twisted a little bit). I didn't think the real test was harder than Pearson (test 4 is actually really close to the real one). But don't trust the percentile score they give you on those practice tests though.

did you also KAPLAN to study as well? I took the practice test for KAPLAN and my score was horrible.. also what else did you use to study and did you study real hardcore?

So expect to score higher or lower on the actual test compared to the Pearson PT-4 percentile? lol

I only used Dr. Collins and Crack the PCAT (the book from The princeton review) for bio. I registered for many many many many Kaplan free practice tests but never got to actually do one lol. I started studying 3 weeks before and only went hardcore during the final week.

i would say +/- 10% for Pearson PT-4 and +/- 20% for PT-3? 😀

any chance that you're selling the dr. collins?

Yes! I've used Dr.Collins, Pearson Practice test & studyguide, & taken a Kaplan course for the PCAT. I attribute my great score to the Pearson Practice tests! Like there were legit questions on my PCAT Quantitative section that were the exact same (different numbers of course) as those that were in the Pearson Practice Test and study guide! Purchase them! It's the closest thing you'll get to the actual test...aside from Dr.Collins. Kaplan really helped me score well in Biology though. Plus my actual PCAT score was within the same range as my practice tests.

Yes, there will most likely be identical questions on the practice tests as the real test. If not, the tests really acclimate you to the time crunch present on the real test. And you need all the practice you can get with the timed quantitative section! It's brutal and tricky - remember to skip questions you cant quickly solve and come back to them after the easier ones.

Yes. There were several identical questions on the exam on todays exam and many questions that were tangential that I definitely wouldve got wrong
Also, the match section is very time intensive and I would not have known it without the practice test

I got a 99 on the test. Without it probably in the low 80s.
The Kaplan PCAT book for ~40 is also worth it since it comes with 2 practice tests and an additional diagnostic test by Kaplan.
