My husband is in the coast guard so we can only live in a few places. That being said... my only chance of getting in is just applying to the same pharmacy school year after year (until we have to move 4 years later). Are pharmacy schools similar to nursing schools where you get credit for applying the previous year, or do they not care how many times you apply (do they see that you are serious about pharmacy school if you apply over and over)?

My understanding is that with the advent of PharmCAS and the increasing competition that you don't get much credit anymore. No one frowns on re-applicants, but if you didn't meet their standard last year, they want to know what is different about your app this year. It's not like it used to be. Non-pharmcas schools may be different, but re-applying to a school through PharmCAS some of them say your chances are no better this year than last. Some may have exceptions. I know some of the supp apps I've looked at have had questions for re-applicants (how have you made yourself more competitive in the last year? was on Western Univ's)

I agree make yourself stronger than last year. Some schools (Mercer for example) expect you to apply more than once. They told me that most of their students applied more than once. This shows that you are very much interested. Good luck
